VOTE KC! College Program

Be a Poll Worker: If not YOU, then WHO?

The VOTE KC! College Program is designed to shape students’ lifelong outlook on the democratic process and the role they can play as individuals within a greater community. Students will engage in classroom presentations and be given the opportunity to sign up to be a poll worker for upcoming elections. The Kansas City Election Board is always looking for more students eager to play a part in this process. High School Voter Registration Days

The Kansas City Election Board will be visiting high schools in the Kansas City area throughout the year. An election board official will come to the area high schools and set up a voter registration table in the school’s area of choice, and register all eligible voters. If you are interested in placing your school’s name on the list, please contact the Education Training and Outreach Department at (816) 842-4820.

Future Voter Reading Program

The Kansas City Election Board will be visiting elementary schools in the Kansas City area throughout the year. Election board officials will hold book readings and will read one to two books per class and answer questions from the students. Students will receive "Future Voter" stickers and pencils. Book contents include the importance of voting, how to vote, etc. KCEB's goal is to bring voter education to youth in schools to help prepare students to vote in the future and encourage their parents to vote. KCEB Academy

The Kansas City Election Board has launched two new components of the KCEB Academy, including the Public Forum and Peak Performers Program. The Public Forum is the external component of the KCEB Academy that focuses on bringing voter education to the public. Its objective is to deliver messages that will help the public engage in specific workshops that will enhance their voting experience. If you are interested in KCEB speaking to your group or organization, please contact the Education Training and Outreach Department at (816) 842-4820.

The Peak Performers program is the internal component of the KCEB Academy that focuses on the training and development needs of the agency’s internal team members. Its objective is to ensure that team members are afforded opportunities to develop their professional and personal skill sets in a manner that will contribute to the team member’s growth and enhance their contributions to the agency.
