KC Schools Redistricting Options

The Kansas City Board of Election Commissioners is charged with preparing and approving a redistricting plan for the Kansas City Missouri School District. Redistricting is required due to the transfer of seven schools to Independence. A public hearing is scheduled Monday, May 5, 6-7:30 p.m. at Paseo Academy.

A second public hearing is scheduled Thursday, May 15, 12:30 p.m., KC Election Board, 2nd Floor Board Room at 1812 Walnut.

The Board will vote on district lines at their Thursday, June 19th, board meeting.

The meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. with testimonials from 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. and the regular board meeting starting at 1:00 p.m..
